SONY PS3 LANDED IN 1UTAMA

The long awaited Sony PS3 is finally here in Malaysia!! wooohooo~~~ =)

Saturday, 20th September 2008, the official launch was held at New Wing 1Utama (the same place where Daughtry's concert was held). The event started off on Friday actually, with the highlight of the day, the 24 hour game marathon that was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records. Man, some people really sat there from 10am until the next morning for the competition... =.=

well, I wasnt there to queue up all night long to get my hands on the PS3 (I AM NOT A GAMER...) I was there for the very unique 'beauty pageant' Sony Malaysia held, the Sony PS3 Game Girl Competition. No.. IT ISN'T a gaming competition. We did not play any games or compete with one another in some game sessions. We did catwalks, gave the best of our talents, and Q&A.

 

 

And I won!! yay!! Im going to HK in December! I still cant believe that I won a PS3.. but its not with me. They are going to snail mail it to me and god knows how long that will take..

BANGKOK Here I come~

I am sitting at Station 1 Cafe at Puchong

came here purposely to email a project work to Parames

and now all I am doing is waiting for 6am

while BB is playing Lexitron on my iPhone...

10 of us will be leaving for Bangkok on the 8.25am flight

arriving at Bangkok approximately 9 plus Thai time

4D3N holiday at Bangkok is what we have been waiting for

and we have all waited for a total of NINE (09) months

we are all thrilled that FINALLY, the day has arrived

but mind you, the riot that is happening in Bangkok right now

regarding Thai's PM Samak (what a name) =D

we are worried for our safety too

but it is very sad if we had to cancel the long awaited trip just like that

so, we have all agreed that there is nothing that would stand against us and Bangkok!!

=D

BB and I are bringing 2 luggages, 1 big and 1 kecik

the kecik one to put our few pieces of clothes and toiletries

and the big one to put ALL the things that we're gonna shop for in Bangkok!!

yayayayyayayayay!!!!!!

cant wait to arrive in Bangkok!

but hor.... right after the trip got mid term exams already...

sobs sobs sobs sobs sobs....

and I have not touched the notes YET! &$%(#&%

seriously, I dont think I have got all that Mr Ruly, Mr Valen and Ms Maha has taught so far

I think Im kinda slacking in class.... OMG!

MONEY NO ENOUGH 2

 

  

a hilarious yet heart melting comedy

that highlights the common life of Singaporeans

where the persuit of money is a never ending passion

and the precidaments faced by families

 

 

 

the story revolves around three brothers of a middle-income background

where all three of them represents different groups of people in Singapore:-

business owners, white and blue collar workers

with a family of their own and a health-deteriorating mother

 

 

while the story highlights the good times that the family enjoys in the beginning

dear old mother's health worsen as days her remaining time ticks away

the three brothers were earning quick and easily

but as the saying goes 'things that comes fast, goes fast'

 

 

 

 

very soon, each one of them faced the worst times of their lives

losing their business, losing their homes, losing their jobs

and like what all children do when they are broke

they turn to their dear old mother who gave them all her savings without hesitation

(its so touching to see Mother -Lai Ming- empty her savings inside a cracker tin)

 

 

 

 

even the youngest brother's wife had to fraud her company's funds to help her husband

she lied saying the money was from her father

and was sentenced to a year imprisonment for fraud

yet she never complained, not a single word

 

 

 

 

 

as days go by, dear old mother's health was taking a toll

she had Alzhemier and had no control of her bladder

while it was near impossible to care for their mother while working extra hard to earn a living

the three brothers resorted to sending dear old mother to an old folk's home

 

 

 

 

 

the climax of the story was when dear old mother gave up her own life

to save her grand-daughter, Stella (we have the same name!! =D)

she pulled off her oxygen tubes after hearing about the lack of B- blood in the hospital

which is also needed in order to save Stella

 

 

 

 

 

a comedy as people said

but I think I cried much more than I could laugh

Jack Neo and his team did an impressive job in this movie

all the songs in the entire movie was written for the movie

and each word held important meanings

this movie made me realize how important family is

it also made me learn that money is of vital importance in life

 

 

 

 

it may be true when people say

'Money can buy everything, but money cant buy happiness/love'

but Money No Enough 2 has shown that

'Without money, can die lor....' (=

 

 

 

this is a double thumbs-up movie that everyone should watch

if you are not a Chinese, dont worry!

there are subtitles for you to read

I had to read subtitles too because I did not understand their Hokkien =p

 

 

 

 

I strongly recommend this movie to all

because although I have watched it a a few days ago

my eyes are watery as I typed this

because every heart-touching scene had been engraved in my mind
